Posted by Alyse Knudsen on November 20, 2024
In today’s rapidly evolving landscape, innovative leadership is essential to advancing the Credit Union Movement. To ensure the next generation of credit union leaders is ready to take on tomorrow’s challenges, GoWest is offering, once again, two signature leadership development programs – Leadership Institute and Advanced Leadership Program.
Registration for the programs’ 2025 cohorts is now open to emerging and seasoned credit union professionals, with early pricing available through Nov. 30.
Each program is designed to empower participants and provide them with the tools, insights, and strategic vision needed to thrive as credit union leaders. Through immersive learning experiences, practical applications, and personalized assessments, participants gain a deeper understanding of their leadership potential and the skills to drive meaningful organizational change. Graduates emerge with enhanced confidence, stronger decision-making abilities, and the capacity to inspire and lead high-performing teams that align with their credit union’s mission and goals.
The Leadership Institute develops an early-career employee’s essential skills in areas such as change management, mentoring, and supervision, while it also provides guidance on building one’s leadership brand and exemplifying values-based leadership.
The Advanced Leadership Program (ALP) raises the bar for the next generation of leaders by cultivating and nurturing their potential. Armed with new skills to increase their productivity, effectiveness, and strategic impact, ALP graduates complete the program with a deeper understanding of their capabilities and personal accountability so they can be more effective in their roles.
The two programs’ 2024 cohorts included 58 graduates from 43 credit unions across our region. Each graduate learned skills and lessons that have made an impact on their credit unions and communities.
Tyler Disburg, CEO of Pathfinder Federal Credit Union, leveraged his experience with the Advanced Leadership Program to replicate the training to enhance leadership skills and foster community collaboration among nonprofits in Casper, Wyo. The Casper Star-Tribune featured his inspiring example of servant leadership in action.
If your credit union is ready to ensure its longevity and has budding leaders ready to elevate their skills and knowledge, apply today for the 2025 GoWest Leadership Institute and Advanced Leadership Program!
