We are currently looking for full-time, exempt, Personal Lines Specialist to join our team!  As a Personal Lines Specialist, you will Generate insurance sales and preserve existing clients and policies.

This position is only eligible for onsite work arrangements at three Oregon locations – Forest Park (Portland), East Bend, and Springfield. The successful candidate will need to be available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 5:30pm.

COMPENSATION

Base salary: The base salary for the Personal Lines Specialist position is $4,500 per month that may decrease after three years if minimum production goals are not achieved.

Commissions: This position is eligible to earn commissions in addition to the base salary.  These commissions range from 20% to 60% per sold policy, depending on the product type. Commission amounts are paid in the amount exceeding the base salary.

Incentives: This position is eligible for a monthly incentive typically ranging from $175 to $375.

POSITION DETAILS

Essential Functions include (please see the position description for a comprehensive list):

  • Generate insurance sales through external contacts and internal referrals and service existing policies.
  • Finalize insurance sales by ensuring documentation is accurately completed in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and leadership skills, and uphold SELCO’s Mission Statement, Corporate Values, Service Promises and Exceptional Customer Service Standards.
  • Adhere to federal and state regulations, SELCO policies, confidentiality requirements, and other compliance obligations.

  • Ability to discover member needs to effectively cross-sell SELCO’s products and services.

  • Strong computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office 365 applications.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; and
  • Three (3) years of sales experience in insurance products; and
  • Valid Property & Casualty License from the State of Oregon is required; and Life & Health License (this requirement may be waived for the first 90 days of employment); and
  • Valid Driver’s License; and
  • Must be bondable.
