Posted by Alyse Knudsen on May 13, 2026
GoWest Councils are gearing up for a strong lineup of upcoming sessions designed to tackle timely challenges and deliver real-world strategies you can take back to your credit union.
From AI-driven marketing to leadership momentum, collections strategy to onboarding best practices, these councils bring together subject matter experts and peers from across the region for focused, high-value conversations.
Here are a few highlights of upcoming Councils:
Collectors Council – May 19
The Collectors Council offers a practical two-part session:
- Farleigh Wada Witt will dive into bankruptcy updates and implications for credit unions.
- Letty Kaufman, Director of Credit Union Management at First Credit Union, will share what’s currently working in collections and loss mitigation.
This blend of legal insight and peer-driven strategy provides both perspective and practical application.
Professional Development Council – May 21
The Professional Development Council features Wooden Consulting presenting “Reigniting the Spark: How Leaders Restore Energy, Purpose, and Momentum.”
This session will focus on how leaders can recharge themselves and their teams, particularly during times of change, fatigue, or strategic transition. Expect actionable insights on sustaining engagement and reigniting the drive that fuels strong performance.
HR & Trainers Council – May 28
The HR & Trainers Council will spotlight how three credit unions across the GoWest region approach new employee onboarding — sharing processes, lessons learned, and ideas you can adapt immediately.
Attendees will also receive more details about the Milliman Compensation Survey and how GoWest can help credit unions leverage the data for stronger workforce planning and competitive positioning.
Marketing Council – June 3
The Marketing Council welcomes Wil Reynolds, Founder & CEO of Seer Interactive and a featured speaker at The Financial Brand.
Reynolds will explore how brands can remain visible, trusted, and discoverable in an AI-driven search landscape. As search behavior shifts and AI-generated results reshape digital marketing, this session will help credit union marketers stay ahead and ensure their institutions continue showing up when members need them most.
Compliance Council – June 4
The Compliance Council will begin with a discussion on AI Risk Management led by Glory LeDu, CEO of InfoSight360 & CU Risk Intelligence, exploring exploring considerations and risk areas credit unions should be thinking about as artificial intelligence tools continue gaining traction across the industry.
