Washington Credit Unions host Rep. Rick Larsen

Credit union advocates from Washington met with Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02) in Everett to share how credit unions are serving more than 5.5 million Washingtonians—70% of the state’s population. Leaders highlighted key priorities, including preserving the credit union tax status, modernizing the Federal Credit Union Act, advancing the Taskforce for Recognizing and Averting Payment Scams (TRAPS) Act, creating a national data privacy standard, and safeguarding the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) program.
