Designed to transform you into a strategic, impactful leader, ALP will equip you with the tools and resources needed to fast-track your career, increase your influence, and drive your organization’s success.  

Ideal for C-suite executives, experienced leaders, directors, and next-generation mid-level talent, this intensive program is designed to expand strategic capabilities, elevate leadership impact, and accelerate the development of tomorrow’s leaders. Each ALP graduate will go home with sustainable leadership practices, new thinking, a clear understanding of their unique development path moving forward, and a new network of industry peers. 

Advanced Leadership Program 2024 Participants

The program focuses on leadership skills, benchmarking and informing a development path, effective assessment and feedback processes, leadership models, executive presence, and more. Training sessions are held both virtually and in-person in three different locations – Portland, Denver, and Phoenix. Each location provides not only a change of scenery but also a deeper connection to the diverse credit union community we serve – an invaluable experience that strengthens both your network and leadership approach. 

“The Advanced Leadership Program inspired me to step up and become a leader!” said Jenelle Stinson, Director of, Internal Audit, Kitsap Credit Union. “This program wasn’t a conventional class where I showed up, was taught skills, and then left. Instead, it was a safe learning environment to dive into who I was, what type of leader I wanted to be, and how to get there. “ 

In addition to the sessions, participants will design and execute a project that directly ties into their credit union’s strategic plan – learning to write a strategic project proposal, executive summary, and formal paper outlining their learning. This project culminates with a presentation to ALP peers in the final session where participants will receive real-time feedback. 

“The GoWest Advanced Leadership Program helped me gain new perspectives on how I was interacting with my coworkers, which impacted how I was being perceived,” shared Amber Motley, Data Specialist, Colorado Credit Union. “I now have ‘sharpened tools in the toolbelt’ to help me ensure my intent aligns with my actions and perceptions.”
