Local Government Associations Back Wyoming Public Deposits Legislation

Earlier this week the Wyoming Association of Municipalities representing Wyoming’s 99 towns and cities took a position of support for Senate File 143 – Public monies – deposits in credit unions.

Today the Wyoming County Commissioners Association also voted to support the legislation with over 90 percent of the body supporting the legislation.

Having the two largest local government associations supporting the legislation will lend a significant voice to moving legislation forward.

Introduction of the bill is pending. Work continues to build coalitions of support to help ensure Wyoming’s public entities can do business with credit unions.
