HB 86 headed to the Governor in WY

House Bill 86 – Vehicle lien – amendments heads to Governor Gordon for signature after passing the Senate in flying colors today.  The bill was heard on third reading consent list by the Senate which is the final step in the legislative process.

The bill is now Enrolled Act 28 and will become effective after signature of the Governor. Additional guidance will be sent post session.

We continue to track SF 105 –  Wyoming Second Amendment Financial Privacy Act. It is likely to be up in the House Judiciary Committee Monday morning. With the amendments we worked on being added in the Senate we are comfortable with the bill.

Next week the Joint Transportation Committee will also meet and discuss interim topics. GoWest has secured sponsors, Representatives J.T. Larson and Cody Wylie, for the interim study topic on moving Wyoming to electronic titling. Joining us is a broad coalition of groups including Wyoming Department of Transportation, Wyoming County Treasurers, Wyoming County Clerks Association, Wyoming Bankers Association, Wyoming Automobile Dealers Association, Wyoming Trucking Association, American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA), Insurance Auto Auctions, Wyoming Towing & Recovery Association, Association of Wyoming Insurance Agents, and State Farm Insurance.
