Idaho Credit Union Legislation Unanimously Passes out of Committee

On Tuesday, Senate Bill 1301, which updates the Idaho Credit Union Act, unanimously passed out of the Senate commerce committee. The GoWest team worked extensively with the committee prior to the hearing to ensure they were comfortable with the legislation. Because of those efforts, the committee had no questions about the bill in the hearing. In those prior conversations ahead of the hearing, specific questions on some parts of the bill were answered and addressed, allowing for the smooth committee process.

The bill is expected to move quickly off the 2nd reading calendar and onto the 3rd reading calendar no later than Thursday, Feb. 22. The 3rd reading calendar is relatively lengthy, so it’s possible the bill doesn’t go to a floor vote until late this week or early next.
