Red Rocks Credit Union, Alliance on Mental Illness Launch 10,000 Conversations Campaign

Red Rocks Credit Union, based in Littleton, Colorado, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Arapahoe /Douglas Counties (NAMI ADCO) are challenging residents across Colorado to raise their voices in support of mental health this holiday season.

The two organizations have teamed up to create a community campaign titled, 10,000 Conversations, an effort that will track the voices, thoughts, and insights of anyone who has a connection to or struggles firsthand with mental health.

For every qualifying conversation tracked from Dec. 1 – 29, Red Rocks Credit Union will donate $1 in support of NAMI ADCO’s mission of a more hopeful and emotionally resilient Colorado, or up to $10,000.

For Red Rocks Credit Union, enriching the lives of others through people helping people is part of its commitment to its members and their communities. The 10,000 Conversations campaign is its purpose in action, and by partnering with NAMI ADCO, Red Rocks Credit Union strengthens that purpose and shares NAMI ADCO’s vision of listening and supporting neighbors by generating the change needed to address the mental health crisis in Colorado once and for all.

“As a credit union, we believe in building not just financial stability, but holistic well-being for our community. Our campaign to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health is rooted in the understanding that financial health and mental health are interconnected,” said President and CEO of Red Rocks Credit Union Darius Wise. “By breaking down the barriers of silence, we aim to spark 10,000 conversations that matter, creating a ripple effect of compassion and support. Together, we strive to raise funds and awareness for mental health initiatives that authentically enrich lives.”

President and CEO of NAMI ADCO Jason Hopcus believes the campaign will continue the great momentum the nonprofit has generated for more than 30 years in support of mental health research, initiatives, and programming for Arapahoe and Douglas Counties.

“Community partners like Red Rocks Credit Union recognize the need to shift the narrative surrounding mental health in our state, especially when data is showing a need for mental health solutions like we’ve never seen before,” said Hopcus. “The launch of 10,000 Conversations will generate critical funding that will translate into measurable impact for the youth, families, and individuals of our communities, but more importantly, it will inspire and empower Coloradoans to remember they’re not alone on their journeys, and that a healthier, more hopeful future is possible.”
