Setting the Record Straight After a Bank Attack: Naming Rights Partnerships Help Communities.

In an article and Op-ed published recently in the Arizona Republic/Arizona Central, the bank lobby lobbed an unprovoked attack on credit unions’ tax structure, and even connected the dots via innuendo between stadium naming rights agreements and taxation. This, of course, is unfounded and we know that partnerships with universities enable much needed community benefits. We will not stand for these attacks and in partnership with Arizona credit unions, GoWest responded with this Op-Ed Saturday, “Let’s set the record straight on credit unions’ ASU stadium naming deal. It has been gratifying to see such a positive response.
