InRoads Credit Union Expands to Washington County to Meet Growing Needs of Community

For the first time, InRoads Credit Union, based in St. Helens, Oregon, will expand its physical presence into Washington County, with a new branch location recently selected in Hillsboro, Oregon. A tentative open date for the 2,400-square-foot space has been set for summer 2024.

Actively seeking to hire bilingual staff (Spanish and English) to staff the branch, InRoads is working to meet the growing needs of the community. Moreover, its responsive community involvement combined with a wide range of services — including personal and business banking, small business loans, mortgages, financial planning, and more — will contribute to the advancement of the area.

“By extending our virtual presence into a physical one, we’ll be able to better serve our current members as well as form relationships with new consumers and small business owners,” said President and CEO of InRoads Credit Union Nathan Cox. “Our goal is to help folks along their financial journey, which is the approach we’ve had with our members in Columbia County for the last 85 years.”

InRoads’ commitment to community engagement is already taking shape as the team connects locally with Hillsboro schools and organizations. For example, InRoads is working on introducing programs that have shown success in other schools, like its Financial Reality Fair, an event during which high school students are given a persona and must make real-life spending decisions with a monthly budget.

“We are eager to join the Hillsboro community,” said Cox. “When we open our doors, we’ll be celebrating with special offers as well as hosting community events that make financial wellness more approachable and communal.”
