Speakers highlight hot topics in the finance industry to continue to improve member experience

Denver, CO (Oct. 15, 2024) — MAXX 2024 is MAXXimizing the potential for credit unions, with today’s lineup offering insights into politics, regulation, emerging threats, a community-centered housing collaboration; strategies for success using AI and robotics; and more.

The day will kick off with John Harwood, CNN White House Correspondent, CNBC Chief Washington Correspondent, and Wall Street Journal Political Editor discussing the current political moment. Harwood will draw on decades of work for the most prestigious outlets on the media landscape and describe the unpredictable electoral outlook of the 2024 election, which is a mere 21 days away.

The day will be wrapped up with an exciting evening event reception and Diamond Round-Up Auction benefiting the 11 Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals located in the region served by GoWest Credit Union Association. This has been the Credit Union Movement’s charity of choice since the mid-1980s and was founded by some of the credit unions in attendance. Since its inception, nearly $53 million has been raised for CU4Kids. All are invited and encouraged to attend this event.

Today will be full of hot topics—I wish I could attend every breakout session,” said GoWest President and CEO Troy Stang. “The Welcome Home Tucson program has the potential to be the blueprint and change housing access and affordability across the nation. We have also seen social engineering, ATM jackpotting, and cybersecurity risks become a reality we must stay prepared for. Today’s sessions will prepare attendees for opportunities to continue to improve.

Hope to see you at MAXX 2024!
