Wyoming Advocates Host Legislative Reception at CFD

What better place than the “Daddy of them All,” Cheyenne Frontier Days, to host a reception for the Wyoming Congressional Delegation and Wyoming State Legislators. Credit union advocates came out to mingle and discuss credit union priorities.

After spending their week at the Republican National Convention, Senators John Barrasso and Cynthia Lummis, and Representative Harriet Hageman attended the reception hosted at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum. Representative Landon Brown, HD 9 and Chair of the House Transportation Committee, also attended and spoke with advocates.

The relaxed setting was a great way to end the week and show support for credit unions in Wyoming. In addition, the group heard from Kim Withers, retired President & CEO of Meridian Trust FCU and candidate for State Senate District 6.

These events allow advocates to engage in more personal and in-depth conversations to thank legislators for past support and to help advance credit union priorities. More will be happening in the coming weeks and months. You are encouraged to get involved and plan to attend an upcoming event in your area.
