Premier Members Credit Union Gives $50,000 in High School Senior Scholarships and Nonprofit Grants

On May 20, Premier Members Credit Union, based in Boulder, Colo., presented $50,000 to their local communities through $25,000 in high school senior scholarships and $25,000 in nonprofit grants.

“The need in our communities continues to rise as they rely on important services like education, mental and physical healthcare, basic human needs and rights, and the arts, as well as ongoing support of our veteran community,” said Jeffrey Kash, AVP, Community Relations for Premier Members Credit Union. “This celebration event and community investment in our grantee and scholars is just one part of our Premier Gives Pillar, which just last year provided over 2,800 hours of community outreach donated by our employees and over $491,000 in financial community outreach support and investment. “

“In the second year of our application-based grant program, nonprofit organizations applied for $5,000 grants,” continued Kash. “With 55 applications this year, we had an increase of 37% in applications in 2024.”

2024 Nonprofit Grantees include: Colorado Kids Create, Face-to-Face Colorado, Hope Connection and Community, Longmont Food Rescue, and Sam Di Paolo American Legion Post 1985.

2024 High School Senior Scholarship Recipients include: Abigail Bensler, Aidan Gover, Ena Gibson, Rachael Schmidt, and Srisahanaa Chandramohan.

Premier Members uses an online application for nonprofit grants which opens up the giving program to more organizations, providing a greater community impact. There is also a three-year limit in the giving program so Premier Members can contribute to more organizations, and because nonprofit applicant organizations must have an operating budget of under $1 million, each grant has a large impact that allows the funds to amplify the organization’s work.
