Colorado Credit Unions host Rep. Pettersen

Colorado credit union advocates met with Rep. Brittany Pettersen (CO-07) in Golden to share how credit unions are serving more than 2.8 million Coloradans—approximately 50% of the state’s population. Leaders highlighted key priorities, including preserving the credit union tax status, modernizing the Federal Credit Union Act, advancing the Taskforce for Recognizing and Averting Payment Scams (TRAPS) Act, creating a national data privacy standard, and safeguarding the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) program.
