GoWest’s Board of Directors for 2025-26 Announced

On Sept. 16, the GoWest Credit Union Association Board of Directors met for its annual reorganization meeting. During the meeting, the Board held elections and appointed new leadership for the 2025-2026 term.

“Our Board of Directors plays a vital role in guiding the vision and momentum of the GoWest Credit Union Association,” shared Troy Stang, GoWest’s President and CEO. “Their leadership and commitment ensure that we stay true to our purpose — advancing advocacy, fostering collaboration, and positioning credit unions as trusted champions for their members and communities. With their strategic insight and dedication, we are not only celebrating the progress of today but also laying the foundation for the opportunities of tomorrow.”

“As leaders, we face challenges, big and small, and opportunities that can be too big for any one credit union to solve alone,” shared Jay Curtis, President and CEO of First Credit Union and the new Board Chair. “Through collaboration, advocacy, shared innovation, and pooling our time, talent, and financial resources, we can strengthen our industry, protect our cooperative principles, and create meaningful impacts for our members and communities.” For Curtis, serving on the GoWest Board is also about listening while leading and making sure credit unions of all sizes have a voice — while working together to keep the Credit Union Movement strong.

“We have something special to offer as credit unions — a unique financial cooperative structure, and as a Board member, I am mindful of our structure and the value and impact that we deliver,” added Curtis.

The 12-person Board of Directors for 2025-2026 includes:

Stephanie Propps, Blue Federal Credit Union – Secretary
Dan Thurman, Frontier Credit Union – Treasurer

Jeff Adams, Horizon Credit Union – Director

Jennifer Kutcher, WECU – Director
Carol Roby, Mohave Community Federal Credit Union – Director
Matt Stephenson, Rogue Credit Union – Director
Jason Werts, Rivermark Community Credit Union – Director
Tracie Wilcox, OnTap Credit Union – Director
Stacie Wyss- Schoenborn, Central Willamette Credit Union – Director

During the meeting, the Board also expressed its gratitude to Ray Lancaster, Pyramid Federal Credit Union, who retired and stepped down from the Board earlier this summer, and welcomed Matt Stephenson to the Board.
