Whether it’s professional development, networking, or specialized training, there are a variety of opportunities designed to support the growth and success of your team. When staff of all levels take advantage of scholarships from the GoWest Foundation, it not only boosts their individual skills but also strengthens the credit union as a whole.

The GoWest Foundation provides professional development scholarships to assist credit union professionals and volunteers in accessing training and development opportunities to better serve their credit unions, members, and communities. Scholarships may be used by credit union staff or board members to attend in-person or virtual events and programs, and awards may be used to reimburse registration fees and other qualified expenses, including lodging, food, airfare, and ground transportation.

Upcoming 2025 GoWest offerings that are eligible for scholarship awards include:

Your credit union’s asset size determines the total scholarships it may be awarded annually. The standard total scholarship dollars that a credit union is eligible for each year are:

  • $4,000 for credit unions with assets below $500 million
  • $2,000 for credit unions with assets above $500 million

Scholarship applicants are typically eligible to receive up to $1,000 per year in scholarship funds, which counts toward the credit union’s annual scholarship award.
