Electronic Lien and Titling Legislation Update

The electronic lien and titling work advance with the pre-filing of the bill draft passed by the Joint Transportation Committee in September.
Senate File 25 – Electronic Lien and Titling will start in the Senate when the Wyoming Legislative session convenes on January 14, 2025. The first steps will be introduction of the bill and referral to the committee.
The Transportation Committee membership did see changes from the members who voted on the electronic lien and titling bill in September.
On the senate side, Senator Pappas, Laramie County is now Chair of the committee replacing Senator Boner, Converse County. Senator Boner is no longer on the committee. Senator Furphy, Albany County, who did not seek office again is also off the committee. Jim Anderson, Natrona County and Ed Cooper, Washakie County are new members.
On the House side the chair was retained by Representative Landon Brown. The committee saw significant turnover with new committee members including Representatives Dalton Banks, Big Horn County, Rob Geringer, Laramie County, Lloyd Larsen, Fremont County, Darin McCann, Sweetwater County, Bob Nicholas, Laramie County, and Reuben Tarver, Campbell County. and Ivan Posey, Fremont County.
