Up Your Advocacy Game with GoWest’s Advocacy 201 Training
Posted by Alyse Knudsen on August 21, 2024
If you are ready to take advocacy to the next level, GoWest’s Advocacy 201 workshop is for you! On Sept. 4, join us for a free, virtual Advocacy Training workshop designed to help seasoned advocates take their previous advocacy training experience and turn it into practical legislative outreach. This workshop will take an intensive look at the role advocates play as key influencers in the Credit Union Movement and help you build relationships with elected officials and policymakers.
Advocacy 201 takes the training and experience gained from Advocacy 101 and enhances it with discussions of interactions with legislators and with attendees’ own advocacy groups. The GoWest advocacy team, led by Chris Kemm, VP, Political Affairs, and Jordan Beyer, AVP, Grassroots Advocacy, will lead discussions on strategic opportunities and steps to leverage a call to action within your credit union as well as a deeper dive into legislation parameters.
“Advocacy 201 takes us into the details of the several programs and strategies GoWest uses to move the needle on issues important to credit unions,” Beyer explained. “This training is especially helpful for those looking to up their advocacy game!”
