Political events calendar filling up – get involved

Political events are an essential component of the GoWest advocacy strategy. Your participation is key to their success and that was evident with the successes in 2023. With numerous critical races in play in this election cycle, it’s important to keep that momentum into 2024!  

GoWest has identified its 2024 top priority congressional candidates/congress members. The advocacy team is in the process of planning events to support these candidates who are top priorities this election cycle:  Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ), Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID), Senator Ron Wyden (R-OR), Representative Val Hoyle (D-OR), Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA), Representative Dan Newhouse (R-OR), Representative Adam Smith (D-WA), and Representative Marilyn Stickland (D-WA).  

The first round of events include:  

• Happy hour for Rep. Marilyn Strickland at Sound Credit Union HQ on May 3rd 
• Breakfast for Rep. Dan Newhouse on May 31st at HAPO Community Credit Union in Richland  
• Happy hour for Rep. Adam Smith on June 10th  
• Happy hour for Rep. Val Hoyle on June 17th at Central Willamette Credit Union  
• Breakfast for Rep. Juan Ciscomani on July 17th  

Later into the spring and summer we will be hosting more events for our other priority candidates for this election cycle. Please stay tuned for more information as details become available.
