NCUA Board Nominee Tanya Otsuka Scheduled to Testify at Banking Committee Hearing

On Thursday, Oct. 19, the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee will hold confirmation hearings, including for the nomination of Tanya Otsuka to be a member of the NCUA board.

Otsuka currently serves as senior counsel for the majority staff of the Senate Banking Committee. She is nominated to take the place of current board member Rodney Hood, who has stayed on the board even though his term expired in August. Board members often stay on until their replacements are confirmed.

The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Eastern. You can listen here.
