StagePoint FCU Collects 92 Stuffed Backpacks For School Supplies Program

StagePoint Federal Credit Union, based in Laramie, Wyoming, organized its sixth annual community challenge to collect school supplies for local students. The #PacktheBackPack Program challenge involved 37 businesses participating in a chain-like activity to fill backpacks with school supplies.

The campaign began in June. Participating businesses passed the responsibility on to other businesses to fill a backpack, and many chose their competitors, which added an exciting and friendly competitive element to the initiative. StagePoint extended the challenge to its membership and staff to make it a collective community effort to support students in need.

All packs were donated to Albany County School District on Aug. 22 for sorting and distribution.

CEO Tyler Valentine said, “The community’s passion for the program along with our team’s dedication has led to a significant increase. The giving has expanded from 18 packs to nearly 100 packs in just six years.”
