House to Likely to Vote Next Week on SAFE Banking Act

It is likely that the House of Representative will bring the SAFE Banking Act (H.R. 1996) to floor for a vote next Wednesday, April 21. As reminder all of the Northwest delegation supported the bill with the exception of just 1 previous member and 1 member who has been elected since the vote. Our other newest member of the delegation Congresswoman Strickland (D – WA 10) is among the 10 Northwest co-sponsors of the Bill. As a reminder Senator Merkley (D – OR) is the primes sponsor of the Senate version of the bill and Senators Murray (D – WA) and Wyden (D – OR) are co-sponsors.
