Credit Union Act Update Passes Idaho Senate
Posted by Lynn Heider on February 24, 2020
Idaho credit unions scored a win today with unanimous passage of S.B. 1301, legislation updating the State’s Credit Union Act. The vote was 35-0 and the measure now moves to the House for consideration.
The legislation is the result of collaboration by credit unions which engaged with NWCUA’s State Issues Work Group and Governmental Affairs Committee last year.
“Look for a call to action in the coming days, asking you to contact Idaho House Members to request their support for this important bill,” said Ryan Fitzgerald, Vice President, Legislative Affairs for Idaho
Ryan also reports great progress on H. B. 411, our legislation requiring towing companies to notify financial institutions when a vehicle is towed from private or posted property and remains un-recovered for 72 hours.
Tomorrow’s Anthem newsletter will have a full update on the Idaho Legislature.
