Job Description:

InRoads Credit Union is seeking a diligent, and knowledgeable full time Operations Support Specialist 1 to join our team in St Helens, Oregon. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule after completing the probationary period and supervisor approval and comes with a full benefit package including a matching 401k.

As an Operational Support Specialist 1, you will process and balance various electronic services, including but not limited to: ACH, Card Services, ATMs, Remote Deposit Capture, and Online Banking.  Maintain knowledge and skills to be considered Subject matter expert of Online Banking. Develop knowledge and skills to be considered back -up subject matter expert of at least one other essential electronic eservices function, including but not limited to: ACH, Card Services, and Sharedrafts to provide coverage as needed. Provide exceptional member service to all internal, external, and future members by telephone or other electronic communications to discern member needs and articulate answers and/or instructions. Routinely deliver standard set of services while answering questions and providing information on products and services, policies and procedures in a professional, friendly and courteous manner. Routinely offers other Credit Union products and services that benefit the member.

 

This role will require a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and/or two plus years of experience in working with credit union products and services, and/or a similar related activity, preferably in the financial services industry.

 

A successful Operations Support Specialist 1 should be equipped with the following:

 

  • Proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, Outlook, and database software applications skills are required.
  • Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills to establish a professional and courteous relationship with all members.
  • Must be able to maintain composure under pressure, interact routinely with others face-to-face, by telephone, and through other communication methods using active listening skills and excellent teamwork.
  • Must be reliable in creating highly accurate work results, meeting strict deadlines, and prompt and friendly service delivery.
  • Requires working with others in a group or team and the ability to remain flexible despite interruptions and/or routine changes to priorities and/or job duties.
  • Must be available to work Monday through Saturday schedule and be bondable.
