Job Description:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Maintain a general knowledge of required job functions of various credit union positions: Teller, Member Service Representative, and Assistant Branch Manager in the absence of the Branch Manager.

Proficient in the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of various credit union positions as assigned to augment staffing levels as needed for branch offices.

Respond to all member inquiries in a positive, professional, and informative manner
-
Handle and process members transactions and be proficient in all Credit Union Products and Services
-
Respond to member issues when they occur at the branch while filling in for branch managers
-
Maintain a professional appearance suitable for person-to-person interviews with members of the credit union. Follow guidelines of the Credit Union Dress Code

Keep current on all credit union and department related policies and procedures
-
Conduct loan interviews in person, by phone or mail. Educate members with all available options offered by the credit union pertaining to their borrowing needs
-
Council members on financial matters along with loan documentation and disbursal
-
Work in accordance with the behaviors and expectations of Quality Service and Sales established by the credit union
-
Maintain effective communication with all Credit Union employees (internal members) to ensure coordination and the exchange of information for accomplishing Credit Union goals
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
-
Minimum of two years of experience in a financial institution and/or relevant experience in a related field
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
-
Ability to successfully pass the following training programs; Teller Boot Camp Certification (within 30 days of hire), Product Fitness (within 6 months of hire), MSR Boot Camp Certification (within six months of hire) and Lending Boot Camp Certification (within 12 months of hire)

Strong sales and service skills in member needs-based sales and solutions

Strong analytical ability and be able to work independently and in a team environment

Proficiency in using computers and software including the internet, Symitar, Meridian Link, Microsoft Word, and Outlook and ability to use a 10-key calculator

Possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills, be highly motivated, and well organized

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

Detail oriented and can meet established priorities and deadlines

Motivated self-starter and ability to make sound and speedy decisions

Find members services solutions to various problems and prioritize work
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate in the English language

Employee must have the ability to calculate figures, interest rates, and percentages
