GoWest Credit Unions Featured on Forbes’ 2026 Best-In-State List
Posted by Alyse Knudsen on July 8, 2026
Forbes’ 2026 ranking of America’s Best-In-State Credit Unions recognizes credit unions that excel in delivering trusted, high-quality financial services and exceptional member experiences at the local level. The rankings, produced by Forbes in partnership with Statista, are based on an independent survey of more than 26,000 U.S. consumers and an analysis of more than 1.2 million online reviews, evaluating institutions on factors including trust, financial advice, member service, digital experience, branch interactions, and transparency.
This year’s recognition highlights what credit unions across the GoWest region strive to deliver every day: exceptional service rooted in strong community relationships.
For Vantage West Credit Union, the honor reflects both member trust and employee commitment. “Being recognized for a fourth year is an honor that truly belongs to our members and our team,” said Sandra Sagehorn-Elliott, President and CEO of Vantage West. “Our team members show up every day with heart and a genuine desire to support our community.”
Other honorees echoed a similar sentiment. Robb Scott, CEO and President of Copper State Credit Union, said the recognition reflects the dedication of employees and the confidence members place in the organization. “We’ve been proud to serve our community for the past 75 years, and we’re committed to delivering the kind of service and value that earned us this distinction.”
“Being recognized by Forbes as Arizona’s #1 credit union is an incredible honor because it comes directly from the experiences and feedback of our members,” said Eric Renaud, President and CEO of Pima Federal Credit Union. “Our mission has always been to improve the lives of our members and strengthen the communities we serve. Every day, our team comes to work focused on helping people buy their first home, save for the future, navigate life’s challenges, and achieve their financial goals.”
That focus on trust and community was also reflected by Bob Newcomb, President and CEO of SELCO Community Credit Union, who noted that the recognition is particularly meaningful because it comes directly from member feedback. “SELCO continues to rank high because we remain true to our member- and community-driven focus, prioritizing local relationships, service, and long-term value,” said Newcomb. “We’ve worked hard to pair innovative digital tools and financial guidance with the kind of personalized service people can only get from a local institution that genuinely cares about the communities it serves.”
Across the Northwest, Fibre Federal Credit Union earned the top credit union ranking in both Washington and Oregon. President and CEO Christopher Bradberry said the recognition serves as motivation to continue strengthening communities and helping members achieve their financial goals. “This recognition inspires us to continue raising the bar, strengthening our communities, and helping our members achieve their financial goals with confidence.”
In total, 246 credit unions were recognized nationwide, underscoring the strength and impact of institutions that put people first.
