Help Bring the Credit Union Story to Life at MAXX
Posted by Alyse Knudsen on June 24, 2026
Every credit union has a story — moments that define who you are, why you exist, and the lives you’ve changed along the way.
At MAXX 2026, we’re bringing those stories to the forefront.
This October, attendees won’t just talk about the credit union difference — they’ll experience it. Throughout the conference, we’ll be weaving real stories from across our region into the MAXX experience to highlight where credit unions have been — and where they’re going.
Now, we need your help to make it happen!
From Your Vault to the MAXX Stage
We’re inviting credit unions to dig into their “vaults” to uncover the stories that best capture their impact throughout their histories.
These might be:
- A transformative program that strengthened your community
- A moment when your credit union changed someone’s life
- An initiative that reflects your purpose in action
- Or a milestone that shaped your journey
Some stories are new. Others stretch back decades. All of them matter.
From recent initiatives like the Tucson Welcome Home program, where credit unions came together to support housing and stability, to defining moments in history, the impact of this Movement has always been rooted in people helping people.
We saw it during the agricultural crisis of the 1980s, when rural credit unions supported struggling farmers. And again in the 1970s, when credit unions in the Pacific Northwest helped members weather aerospace industry layoffs.
These moments, past and present, reflect the kind of impact we’re looking to share.
Why It Matters
At MAXX, these stories won’t just be told — they’ll be felt.
Selected submissions may be incorporated into elements throughout MAXX 2026 in Denver.
Our goal is simple: to ensure every attendee leaves MAXX with a renewed sense of purpose — grounded in the real-world impact of credit unions like yours.
