Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union Invests in Community With New Branch in Cheyenne

Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union breaks ground on its newest branch location Cheyenne, Wyo., on June 23. The new branch is expected to open in 2027 and will serve as the future home of the credit union’s East branch.

This investment reflects Meridian Trust’s continued growth and long-term commitment to the communities it serves. The new location will provide enhanced accessibility, improved member experience, and additional space to support evolving financial needs.

“This project represents more than a new building — it’s an investment in our members and our community,” said Adele Gardner, Chief Administration Officer. “As we continue to grow, we’re focused on creating spaces that make it easier and more convenient for people to manage their financial lives while delivering the service and support they expect from us.”

The relocation of the East branch to Pershing and Ridge allows Meridian Trust to expand its footprint while modernizing its branch experience. The new facility will be designed with members in mind, offering updated technology, improved layout, and a more efficient way to serve both in-branch and drive-up transactions.

The groundbreaking ceremony on June 23 marks the official start of construction in partnership with La Macchia Group. Community members, local leaders, and credit union representatives gathered to celebrate the milestone and the continued growth of Meridian Trust in the region.

To celebrate the project and connect with the community in a fun and engaging way, Meridian Trust also launched a “Yep, another credit union” campaign, leaning into the ongoing community conversations about new building projects around town, while highlighting what makes the credit union experience different. As part of the campaign, the community members can participate in a $500 tire gift card giveaway, playing on the conversations about “new financial institutions, new coffee shops, new tire shops and new car washes,” bringing light hearted discussions and engagement while driving additional excitement and awareness to the new location.
