The Local Change Foundation Awards Colorado Students $94,600 in Scholarships

Elevations Credit Union‘s Local Change Foundation awarded $94,600 in scholarships to 22 soon-to-be Colorado high school graduates.

All Local Change scholarship recipients have demonstrated strong academic achievement and a commitment to their communities. Over half are first-generation college students, and the average household income is $70,000. For these students, financial support can make a meaningful difference in pursuing higher education.

“Supporting students at this stage in their lives is incredibly impactful,” said Jennifer Hinderliter, Director of Local Change. “These scholarships not only help ease financial barriers, but also serve as a vote of confidence in each student’s future.”

The scholarship recipients live in Front Range cities, including Fort Collins, Denver, Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, Commerce City, Littleton, Windsor, Evans, and Loveland.

Since 2010, Local Change Foundation has provided $944,550 in scholarship funds. This continued support is made possible through partnerships with individual donors and community contributions. The foundation offers a simple way for donors to support students without having to manage their own scholarship programs.
