Last Chance for 2025 GoWest Committee & Advisory Group Nominations: Answer the Call to the Shape the Future of the Credit Union Movement

Nominations for the 2025 GoWest Committee and Advisory Groups are open through Friday, Oct. 25. 

Engagement by credit union leaders is critical to the success of the movement and is central to the mission of the GoWest Credit Union Association. GoWest committees and advisory groups are valuable platforms for credit union professionals to engage with one another, share their unique perspectives and experiences, and ultimately influence the future of the industry. 

By serving in one of these groups, you can help advance key association and industry priorities, including: 

  • Strengthening advocacy and regulatory agendas 
  • Raising public awareness and elevating grassroots advocacy 
  • Delivering next-level talent development opportunities 
  • Vetting innovative products and services to bolster credit union operations and offerings 

Committee, advisory group, and working group opportunities for 2025 include:

  • Colorado Governmental Affairs Committee 
  • Idaho Governmental Affairs Committee 
  • Oregon Governmental Affairs Committee 
  • Washington Governmental Affairs Committee

  • Regulatory Advisory Committee 
  • Grassroots and Political Programs Committee 
  • Defense Fund Oversight Sub-Committee

  • PR Influence and Proactive Storytelling Working Group

CEOs are asked to serve on the Governmental Affairs Committees and may appoint a “plus one” to join them. If you are interested in joining a Governmental Affairs Committee, please talk with your CEO. For those interested in supporting advocacy initiatives, the Grassroots and Political Programs Committee is a great committee to be a part of. 

Your voice matters. Committee work leads to some of the greatest successes the regional movement has ever seen, and the collective strength of talent can truly shape the credit union landscape of tomorrow!
