BIOGRAPHY:

Jennifer Wagner is the EVP and Chief Advocacy Officer for the GoWest Credit Union Association. She leads the Association’s advocacy function which includes robust state advocacy in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming and a federal strategy with the 48 members that make up the GoWest congressional delegation. In addition, Jennifer’s department includes state and federal regulatory advocacy, grassroots and political affairs, and advocacy public affairs.

After earning a B.A. from Oregon State University, Jennifer spent 10 years in the legislative arena working for Oregon congressional representatives Darlene Hooley and Kurt Schrader, both in Washington D.C. and in their Oregon offices.

Jennifer has served on numerous credit union industry committees and currently serves on the Advocacy Committee for the American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL), focused on league education and engagement on proactive advocacy priorities for the credit union system.

Jennifer appreciates the commitment credit unions make to their not-for-profit cooperative structure, doing what is best for their members and communities, and the importance of sharing that message with lawmakers.
