Westerra Credit Union Names Kirk Leverington as Chief Strategy and Performance Officer

Bringing two decades of financial experience to the role, Kirk Leverington has been promoted to Chief Strategy and Performance Officer at Colo.-based Westerra Credit Union. Having been with Westerra since 2025, Leverington will continue to prioritize member-focused growth while also working to empower Westerra’s internal team.

“I truly believe that, at Westerra, our employees set us apart, and Kirk is the perfect example,” said Todd Marksberry, Westerra’s President and CEO. “His ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and channel the teams’ unique skills and expertise into creative solutions drives meaningful results. His collaborative approach to leadership embodies Westerra’s culture and I personally look forward to seeing him excel in this new role.”

Since joining the Westerra team last year as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Performance Excellence, Leverington has worked closely with Marksberry and executive leadership to analyze and identify the credit union’s strategic opportunities, priorities and long-term goals. Leverington is a Certified Management Consultant with an MBA from Royal Roads University (Victoria, BC) and previously served as the senior manager of business strategy for Verizon Wireless.
