Minnequa Works Credit Union Celebrates Leaders Named to 2026 “40 Under 40 Emerging Leaders” List

Minnequa Works Credit Union‘s CFO David Purfield and CEO Nathan Cape have been selected as recipients of the 2026 “40 Under 40 Emerging Leaders Awards” by the Pueblo Latino Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Adrian Gomez, Associate Director and valued community partner of Minnequa Works, was also recognized among this year’s honorees.

The 40 Under 40 Emerging Leaders Awards recognize outstanding young professionals across Southern Colorado who are making a meaningful impact in their careers, their communities, and beyond. Over the past several years, the Latino Chamber has honored more than 200 individuals through this prestigious program, celebrating the next generation of leaders and changemakers shaping the future of the region.

“This recognition is a reflection of the people, purpose, and partnerships that drive our work every day,” said Nathan Cape, who has been Minnequa Works’s CEO since 2023. “David’s leadership and commitment to excellence, along with Adrian’s continued impact in our community, exemplify what it means to be difference makers in Southern Colorado.”

David Purfield has played a key role in strengthening the financial foundation and strategic growth of Minnequa Works Credit Union, helping guide the organization through continued expansion, innovation, and long-term sustainability. His leadership continues to support the credit union’s mission of empowering members and enhancing financial wellness across the communities it serves.

Adrian Gomez, while not a team member of Minnequa Works, has been a strong collaborator and community advocate, working alongside organizations across Southern Colorado to create meaningful impact and connection.

Each year, the 40 Under 40 celebration brings together community leaders, professionals, and local businesses for an inspiring evening of recognition, connection, and pride.
