Wyoming Credit Unions Donate to Beef for Backpacks During Frontier Days

During Saturday’s Cheyenne Frontier Days celebration, First Lady Jennie Gordon’s Hunger Initiative was in the spotlight with supporters wearing Hunger Initiative t-shirts, western apparel, and wild rags.

Credit unions were well represented Saturday during the annual spotlight on the Initiative with Matt Ballou, WyHy FCU and his family participating in the parade in the morning.

During the First Lady’s annual luncheon, Brian Rohrbacher, Grand Altitude FCU (formerly Atlantic City FCU), Matt Ballou, WyHy FCU and Tammy Bauman, Meridian Trust FCU presented the First Lady and Governor Gordon with a $20,000 donation in support of the Beef for Backpacks program.

The Beef for Backpacks program ensures that Wyoming students have access to high-quality protein from beef grown and processed in Wyoming.
