Credit Union West Celebrates New Branch with Grand Opening Event and Charity Donation

Credit Union West celebrated their new branch in Peoria, Ariz., with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting event that brought together members of the community, including the Peoria and Glendale Chambers of Commerce and local non-profit organizations.

To kick off the festivities, the credit union invited the Air Force 56th Fighter Wing Honor Guard from Luke Air Force Base to perform a presentation of the colors. The event featured speeches from Karen Roch, President and CEO of Credit Union West, and members of the Peoria Chamber of Commerce who welcomed the credit union to the new area.

“We’re thrilled to be in our new location in Peoria,” said Roch. “A lot of work went into creating this space for our members, and we are so excited to continue to grow our presence in the West Valley.”

As part of the celebration, Credit Union West presented a donation check for $9,583 to the Fetch Foundation, a local organization that helps provide training and equipment for first responders. The donation was the first of four in the credit union’s 2025 EmployeesCARE Program, which is fully funded by Credit Union West employee donations and awards donations to four recipients chosen by staff each year. The CU West CARES Charitable Foundation matched the donations made by employees to make even more of an impact. The Fetch Foundation was chosen for their important work supporting service animals and first responders in our communities.
