MountainCrest Credit Union Announces Retirement of CEO and Promotion of New CEO

Wash.-based MountainCrest Credit Union recently announced the retirement of its President and CEO, Susan Webster, effective April 4. Webster has been an invaluable member of the credit union team for the past 37 years, with the last 3 years serving as President and CEO.

“We were hoping to keep her a bit longer but also understand her wish to retire while in good health,” said Board Chairman Bruce Landre. “We are happy that she will be able to spend quality time with her granddaughters.”

Webster’s longtime career at MountainCrest Credit Union began in 1988 as a teller. She progressed through many different positions before serving as MountainCrest’s Vice President and CFO for most of her career. She worked closely with the Board of Directors and played an integral part in the strategic direction and stability of the credit union.

“We are extremely grateful for Susan’s leadership, and she will be greatly missed. Susan’s commitment to staff, our members, and the community has strengthened the foundation of our credit union. As she embarks on the next chapter of her journey, we pause to celebrate her legacy and how it will inspire generations to come,” said a statement from the credit union.

“Retirement for me is bittersweet,” Webster shared. “This credit union is like a second family to me as most of my life has been spent working here. I will treasure the friendships and memories that have been created over the years. Also, I am looking forward to enjoying the next phase of my life, retirement.”
