Posted by Bobbie Frank on February 24, 2025

On a vote of 46 aye, 14 nay and 2 excused, Senate File 143 – Public monies – deposits in credit unions passed the Wyoming House of Representatives. This is the final step in the legislative process, and it is now Senate Enrolled Act 28. The bill has been signed by the President of the Senate and once signed by Speaker of the House, will go to the Governor for action.
The Governor has three days from receipt of the enrolled act to sign the legislation. Today the GoWest team met with a member of the Governor’s policy team to provide background on the legislation and request support. If signed, the bill becomes effective July 1, 2025.
Today also marked the signing of Senate File 25 – Electronic lien and titling system legislation. Credit union leaders, members of the Electronic Titling Working Group, and Wyoming Department of Transportation personnel were on hand to celebrate the signing of the bill by Governor Gordon.
