GoWest-Region Credit Unions Honored for Nation’s Top PAC Support

Two credit unions serving the GoWest region were honored this week because their teams’ contributions led the nation in contributions to the America’s Credit Unions Political Action Committee.  ACU’s PAC is one of the most successful PACs supporting candidates for federal office.

The Pinnacle Awards announced this week recognize:

  • Oregon State Credit Union in Corvallis, Oregon, for contributing the highest amount of funds in the over $750 million-asset category. Employees raised $41,378,
  • Lewis Clark Credit Union in Lewiston, ID for leading the under $250 million asset category with nearly $17,000 in contributions.

Mountain America Credit Union, which also has branches serving members in GoWest states, was recognized as the runner up in the over $750 million category.

Circle of Excellence honors were also announced this week for the credit union that raised the highest dollars in their state in 2024.

Honorees included:

  • TruWest CU in Tempe, AZ
  • Ent CU, Colorado Springs, Colorado
  • Lewis Clark CU, Lewiston, Idaho
  • Oregon State Credit Union, Corvallis, Oregon
  • Spokane Teachers Credit Union, Liberty Lake, WA
  • Meridian Trust FCU, Cheyenne, WY

“The ACU PAC is the primary means of supporting pro-credit union candidates for federal office,” said GoWest’s Chris Kemm AVP, Political Engagement. “Contributions come from employees through payroll deductions and other activities. These employees are dedicated to helping to elect candidates who support the Credit Union Movement. We thank them and their credit unions’ leadership for getting behind this initiative.”

All contributions are voluntary and will be used for political purposes. You have the right to refuse to contribute without reprisal. Guidelines contained herein are merely suggestions.
