Gesa Credit Union, which serves members in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, announced the promotion of Blaine Wren to Vice President of Finance and Accounting. In his new role, Wren will help drive Gesa’s financial strategy, oversee the finance and accounting teams, and support the organization toward its goal of reaching $10 billion in assets.
“Blaine’s expertise and leadership have been instrumental in shaping Gesa’s financial strategies over the years,” said Kurt Johnson, CFO at Gesa. “With his deep understanding of our organization and commitment to empowering others, Blaine is the perfect leader to guide our finance and accounting teams as we strive to reach new organization milestones together.”
Since joining Gesa in April 2013, Wren has held various roles including Financial Analyst and Finance Manager/Team Leader, where he has made significant contributions to the credit union’s success. Notably, he led the annual budgeting process, implemented an organization-wide system for budgeting, profitability, and reporting, and developed advanced profitability models that align financial operations with Gesa’s strategic goals. In his new role, Wren will continue building on this work by leveraging financial data to drive decision-making, support Gesa’s growth, and further strengthen its financial foundation.
