CU4Kids Appoints Rivermark Community Credit Union’s CIO Seth Schaefer to National Credit Union Advisory Board

Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids), a national collaboration of credit unions raising funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, recently announced the appointment of Seth Schaefer, EVP and Chief Impact Officer at Rivermark Community Credit Union, to its national Advisory Board.

Schaefer has been a member of the CU4Kids OHSU Doernbecher Advisory Group and is soon completing his two-year term as the co-chair. The CU4Kids OHSU Doernbecher Advisory Group inspires and coordinates local CU4Kids fundraising efforts for the greater Portland, Ore. area. Under Seth’s leadership as co-chair, the group has increased fundraising and committed to a $5 million pledge to develop a state-of-the-art hybrid operating suite at OHSU Doernbecher.

Schaefer is also a member of the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Philanthropy Board and has spent more than 20 years fundraising for CU4Kids, including participating in the NW Golf Classic and GoWest’s MAXX CU4Kids Benefit Auction. He attended Children’s Hospitals Week to accept the Founders Award in April 2024 and is an evangelist for children’s health as a foundation of financial well-being.
