Elevations wins 2024 Mortgage Bankers Association DE&I award

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) recently announced Colo.-based Elevations Credit Union as one of six winners of the 2024 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Residential Leadership award.

Elevations was selected because of their demonstrated commitment to DE&I in areas such as integration and improvement in strategic communications, shared ownership, and workplace inclusion. The credit union’s collaboration with The Blind Institute of Technology (Blind IT), which supports disability inclusion in the workplace, also helped the nomination stand out.

Elevations CUThe credit union has received six awards for establishing and integrating DE&I into the organization, including two consecutive wins of the Denver Business Journal Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award, the Diversity in Leadership Award from Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association, and the 2021 Diversity & Inclusion Award from the Colorado Association of Realtors.

“This award reflects the hard work and dedication of the entire team, who have embraced the vision of creating an inclusive environment where every voice is heard and valued,” said Elizabeth Million, SVP of Lending at Elevations. “Together, we’re building not just a better organization but a stronger community that supports everyone.”

To determine this year’s award winners, submissions were reviewed by a panel of judges consisting of members of MBA’s DE&I Advisory Committee, past DE&I Leadership Award winners, and MBA staff.

“We cannot do this work alone,” said Josephine Doyle, Director of DE&I at Elevations. “Cultivating meaningful relationships with organizations committed to inclusion is essential for meeting our employees’ needs and serving our diverse membership and community.”
