GoWest Announces 2024-2025 Board of Directors

Your Association has completed its 2024 election cycle. As a reminder, there were five seats up for election, with five incumbents eligible for re-election. After interviews and discussions with the incumbents and nominees, the Nominating Committee made their recommendation to the Board for the slate of candidates.

During their Board meeting last week, the following slate of candidates was elected to the Board by acclamation for three-year terms beginning September 2024:

In addition to the Board election, Tracie Wilcox, President and CEO of On Tap Credit Union was appointed to the Board in May to fill the vacancy upon Todd Marksberry’s resignation from his Board position. Tracie will fill the remaining portion of this position concluding in September of 2025.

Please join us in thanking Todd Marksberry, John Uchida, and Jim Yates for their many years of service and contributions to the association Board(s). They stood forward with a passion for the Movement and each were leaders and stewards of the Association on the legacy associations’ boards leaning into the creation of GoWest. Uchida and Yates will finish out their terms in September 2024 at the time of the annual meeting.

And a hearty congratulations to the newest Board Members, Dolores Broeske, Jason Werts, and Tracie Wilcox. Their contributions in their respective states’ credit union advocacy have been notable among their peers, and we are excited to have them join the GoWest Board and continue to make a significant impact on the Credit Union Movement.

Additionally, we are excited to announce the Board elected the following officers to the Executive Committee to serve until September 2025:

Jennifer Kutcher shared, “As we welcome our new Board members, I am humbled to step into the role of Board Chair. It’s a privilege to serve in this role and support GoWest’s mission of providing bold advocacy and dynamic member support to our credit unions. This year holds immense significance for our credit unions as we face regulatory challenges and additional industry-related hurdles. I am eager, along with the strong leadership of our Board, Troy, and his team, to lead and support GoWest as we go forward together – amplifying our collective efforts and impact, deepening our industry engagement, and fostering greater collaboration so we all can continue to innovate and progress, ensuring a brighter future for all GoWest credit unions.”
