Westerra Credit Union Launches New Product to Assist Homebuyers

Westerra Credit Union, based in Denver, Colorado, recently announced a new Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) product designed to support homebuyers.

The product empowers first-time homebuyers, renters, and “even move-up buyers” to achieve homeownership through down payment assistance grants, according to a release in CUInsight. Members, non-members, as well as realtors and builders who work with first-time homebuyers can also benefit from the product and others Westerra offers.

Becoming an approved participating lender with CHFA is another way the almost 90-year-old credit union serves its community, stated Westerra.

 “Today’s increasingly competitive housing market can be challenging for potential home buyers to enter the real estate market,” said Troy Arnold, Westerra’s Mortgage Market Manager. “These loans are specifically tailored to help buyers who qualify overcome down payment obstacles and fulfill their desire to own a home.”
