VP- IT Operations and Infrastructure
Job Description:
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Sets the strategic direction for the department through collaborating with the Chief Information Officer and other credit union leaders on hardware, software, network, and security needs for the credit union. Provides input on procedures, techniques, and standards to implement new and/or improved ideas to increase effectiveness, service sensitivity, and productivity over span of influence.
- Assists with developing and/or planning internal and cross-department initiatives.
- Oversees the operations of multiple positions through monitoring and tracking overall functions that ensure staff are making appropriate decisions and operating within established credit union policies, procedures and applicable compliance regulations. Reports performance of departments and direct reports to Chief Information Officer.
- Possesses strong organizational and project management skills.
- Researches and negotiates 3rd party service vendor contracts to optimize relationship profitability.
- Ensures current and new employees have received needed training to be confident in job functions.
- Recommends and facilitates coordination of cross-department trainings as needed to overcome knowledge gaps across the credit union.
- Coaches and motivates direct reports and their team members to achieve department goals and objectives including sales, service, production, and efficiency goals.
- Researches and maintains a thorough knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure and Operations policies and procedures, cybersecurity developments, keeps up to date on regulatory changes, and maintains familiarity of new IT product and service trends.
- Must have highly effective verbal and written communication skills. Maintains clear channels of communication with the Chief Information Officer, other IT staff, and credit union employees at all times to facilitate an efficient working environment and project deployment.
- Maintains knowledge of all Credit Union products, services, and promotions.
- Contributes to efficient Credit Union operations by performing other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Eight to ten years of similar or related experience.Education: (1) Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems-related field required, (2) Industry-recognized IT certifications desire.
