Job Description:

Position Purpose

The Training Specialist will specialize in consumer loan training. This position will implement, maintain and conduct training programs to: Conduct on-boarding and technical training for new hire Consumer Lending employees. Develop and deepen the technical competencies of those who work in any of the Consumer Lending departments, through classroom training, refreshers, and one on one sessions. Provide team leadership as a subject matter expert. Partner with Lending Management and the team of Lending Operations Analysts to create and report on training plans and materials to ensure proper planning as well as execution of training efforts.

Principles/Accountabilities

Training (70%)

  • Trains branch staff in the basic functions of member transactions, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Maintains comprehensive, up-to-date regulatory and product knowledge applicable to the transactions performed in the branch environment.
  • Maintains and keeps procedures current for manuals.
  • Creates training programs for continued development of team members.
  • Tracks MSR/FSR training effectiveness and aids in adapting policy/procedure as necessary.
  • Responsible for creating and delivering MSR/FSR.

 

Member Services Delivery (20%)

  • Delivers the full array of member services including checking and savings transactions, loan payments, CD transactions, new account requests, etc.
  • Responds to members’ requests, problems, and complaints, aids in resolving escalated issues, and directs them to the appropriate staff member as necessary.
  • Demonstrates excellent service standards and acts as a role model for team members.

Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (10%)

  • Responsible for providing on the job training of BSA, to include when and how to accurately complete Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)for all MSR and FSR employees.
