Starting Pay Range: $45.10 – $53.00 per hour

Location: Eugene, Oregon; Remote

As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will facilitate cross-functional teams to complete the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing phases of projects. You will utilize project management best practices to ensure end-user, time, quality and cost requirements are met. You will identify areas within a project that would require organizational change management and incorporates change management best practices. Additionally, you will execute concurrent complex projects involving multiple business units, third-party providers and associated integrations.

Every day you will:

  • Facilitate the development of a detailed scope, including objectives, requirements and deliverables, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute a project management plan that addresses the level of complexity associated with the project.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to accelerate results and build capacity by assigning tasks and decision-making responsibilities to individuals or teams with clear boundaries, expectations, support and follow-up.
  • Demonstrate organizational and planning capabilities and possess the ability to initiate, plan and manage multiple concurrent projects by effectively utilizing project management best practices.
  • Manage, report and implement project changes using OCCU’s processes.
  • Determine continuous improvement opportunities to current project management processes and practices; identify opportunities for business process improvements within project scope.
  • Distinguish project risks with the project team, including probability and impact, and develop mitigation and contingency plans to minimize risk impact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Act as a liaison to expedite problem resolution in a timely and appropriate manner, including escalation as necessary.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle to deliver working solutions that address the needs of the organization.
  • Manage multi-year large enterprise projects and programs across multiple business units.
  • Participate or lead the vendor/product selection and discovery projects.
  • Serve as liaison between the project management team and business unit Scrum MastersProject Managers to ensure projects are executed on, tracked and reported in accordance with project management team standards.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and training support in the areas of project management to other members of the Project Management team.

To thrive in this role, you must have:

  • Five years or more of complex and large project management experience.
  • Applied knowledge and experience using PPM tools like ServiceNow, CA PPM, Oracle Primavera.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Project and developing complex WBS for large enterprise programs and projects, knowledge of critical path management, resource leveling, earned value management and other advanced project management techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large and complex transformation programs and projects in the areas of Technology Infrastructure, Software development, product deployments, platform migration, cloud transformation and enterprise business transformation.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing project teams of 100+ resources and budgets of 1 M+ in a matrix environment, partnering with vendors/ business partners and delivering solutions that drive customer and staff satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of Agile, Predictive and Hybrid models of project delivery and demonstrated abilities to manage projects in all three models
  • PMP Certification is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, MIS, or Computer Science required and/or demonstrated experience driving measurable business outcomes.

Prefer to have:

  • Familiarity with financial institution software solutions, business processes and requirements.
  • Organizational Change Management certifications.
  • Project management office experience in a credit union or financial institution.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma.
  • PMO Governance and process improvement experience.
  • Certified ScrumMaster.
  • Agile Certified Practitioner.
