Job Description:

Join the Salal Credit Union team as our Senior Manager of Branches & Retail Operations. This role will be integral to our member and employee experience by overseeing our four area branches and the back-office operations support team. This Senior Manager is responsible for guiding these teams to both operational excellence and sales success.

This role is hybrid and would require regular visits to our branches (Northgate, First Hill, Bellevue, Tukwila) in person. The expectation would be that this manager visits each branch at least two (2) times per month with other visits as needed. There may also be a need to attend some meetings at our Northgate Headquarters office on occasion.

Major duties of this role will include:

  • Execute the strategy for Branch and Retail Operations teams, ensuring effective management of sales, service, and support activities
  • Develop and implement retail sales and service strategies to increase deposit and loan balances, aligning with the credit union’s strategic plan
  • Collaborate with the Vice President – Retail Banking to set and adjust individual and branch-level sales and service targets and manage incentive plans
  • Deliver sales and service training programs for branch managers and staff, both virtually and in-person
  • Monitor branch performance, analyze results, and implement initiatives to achieve sales goals and financial targets
  • Develop and execute operations strategies to support Retail departments, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and policies, as well as regulatory requirements
  • Act as a project owner for Retail projects impacting the Branches or Retail Operations, partnering with the Project Management Office and other internal stakeholders as needed

Qualifications of an ideal candidate:

  • 8 years of experience in retail banking, 5 years of experience in team leadership, 5 years of experience in direct sales and service
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field (equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered)
  • Thorough understanding of retail banking, operations, consumer sales, and project leadership
  • Effective presentation and writing skills
