Builds, monitors and manages an assigned commercial loan portfolio often consisting of complex credits. Recommends for approval new and existing commercial loan requests. Negotiates terms and troubleshoots potential problems. Presents higher level loan requests and ensures compliance with all regulations and credit union policies and guidelines.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
20% Interviews existing and potential new members seeking commercial loans. Uses interview skills to obtain information concerning loan needs, earnings, and the individual’s financial condition.
20% Exercises discretion in recommendations of loans and loan terms within the established policies of Rogue Credit Union. Uses independent judgment and independent decision authority to overcome objections and solve potential problems, negotiate terms and a pricing structure to influence a successful outcome for both new and existing loans. Prepares and presents for approval credit recommendations on all borrowing requests.
20% Develops primary member and prospect lists within assigned territory for the purpose of marketing a broad range of credit union services including new loan opportunities. Manages existing member relationships with a loan portfolio typically above $30 million.
20% Manages the assigned loan portfolio. Ensures timely and thorough monitoring of all credits through periodic reviews, continual analysis, and proper documentation. Contacts borrowers as needed. Trouble shoots and suggests resolution steps to remedy deficiencies when appropriate or needed.
10% Ensures accuracy and compliance with regulations and internal policies and procedures. Maintains thorough documentation.
10% Provides excellent member service to internal staff and members. Assists the Business Services team as needed. Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned.
