Job Description:

DUTIES:

  1. Work independently with a high degree of accuracy and problem solving.
  2. Assist in carrying out the Credit Union’s BSA compliance obligations.
  3. Monitor the Credit Union’s electronic deposit channels for high risk transactions and take action to prevent loss.
  4. Process member communications as related to account service restrictions, extended deposit holds and closing.
  5. Review daily transaction reports and alerts to identify potential money laundering.
  6. Support CTR/SAR report completion and filing.
  7. Screen new account applications for membership eligibility, BSA compliance, and fraud
  8. Identify and monitor high-risk accounts.
  9. Research, track, analyze, and report fraud trends.
  10. Process share fraud and identity theft claims.
  11. Perform fraud investigations and various research related tasks.
  12. Process and investigate Regulation E error disputes.
  13. Serve as a contact for law enforcement and other financial institutions in regard to fraud.
  14. Conflict resolution with members in difficult situations.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  1. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  2. Must be able to use computer keyboard and mouse.
  3. Must be able to view computer monitor.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High school education (or equivalent)
  2. Two years of financial institution experience required.
  3. Basic understanding of Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, AML, and OFAC preferred.
  4. Familiarity with Symitar core processing system preferred.
  5. Familiarity with Vertifi Remote Deposit processing platform preferred.
  6. Familiarity with Alkami online banking platform preferred.
  7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office’s Outlook, Word and Excel programs.
  8. Ability to work quickly, efficiently and accurately to meet deadlines.
  9. Strong member service skills.
  10. Strong verbal, written, and telephone communications required.
  11. Possess strong problem solving skills.
